About Heather Lomax

Heather Lomax is a riding instructor specializing in the relationship between horse and rider, with decades of experience in bridle-less riding. She has worked with riders across the United States and around the world, helping equestrians develop deeper communication, trust, and harmony with their horses.

Heather's approach focuses on understanding and regulating the equine nervous system, creating a foundation for true connection and subtle communication. Her methods are ethically based, which includes consent-based training.

Whether or not riders are ready to go fully bridle-less, she provides the tools and guidance to build the skills needed to get there — unlocking a more connected and responsive partnership.

In addition to her horsemanship work, Heather is a competitive mounted archer and founder of Poseidon's Horse Archers, bringing together her two great passions: the horse and the bow.
